We are planning for the 12th November trip - week 5 term 4. In order to organise the Beach Clean up following the Sustainable Coastlines presentation, we require 6 parent helpers for each of Nikau, Pohutukawa, Manuka, Matai, Totara, Rata and Kahikatea. (that's 42 parent helpers!) Please fill out the google form that will be emailed to you from your child's class teacher.
Each child in year 3-8 will be given a blue permission form, which must be completed in order for your child to participate with Sustainable Coastlines, who are coordinating this community event.
Please send your completed blue permission form (one for each child) to the office ASAP, ideally by Friday 25th September. A large event like this takes considerable organisation and we appreciate you taking the time to have forms returned quickly. (There is a link below if you lose the form.) If there are any questions, or you didn't receive the google form for parent helpers, please email email@example.com.
Please note: students in Harakeke and Kowhai will be shown an appropriate presentation on how to keep plastic out of our waterways, and then they will participate in a school-based clean up activity. Students in year 3-8 will be taken off site, to participate in the beach clean up.
