Urgent Notice

Immunisation records

There is a measles outbreak in the Waikato region, We have been asked by the Regional Public Health to check the chuildhood immunisation records of every student.

All families are asked to produce evidence that their child has been immunised.  Bringing in the child's WellHealth book is the easiest way to do this.  If you do not have their WellHealth book, ask the practice nurse at your family doctor for a printout of your child's immunisation record.

To be protected against measles students need to have had two doses of the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella); usually given at 15 months and 4 years.  The measles vaccine is free from your family doctor.

If there is a measles outbreak at our school, students who have not had two documented doses of MMR will be required to stay away from school.
